Patricia is caught at her vanity curling her hair for the Valentine’s Day dance. In the cheekiest fourth-wall-breaking line of the scene, she objects “Papa, all these people! I’m...I'm indecent!” and John reassures her that we’re friends. (Not really a comfort if she really was indecent, but seeing as indecency norms have shifted quite a bit in the last hundred-plus years, the line always gets a laugh.)
She thinks it's "very romantic" that John is taking her mother out for Valentine's dinner and hopes her own evening turns out as romantic as theirs. For whatever reason, this has always been my favorite interaction of the show.
