We've seen ancient Egypt, Greece, and the Fall of Rome. Turning the bend, we can still smell the burning library of Alexandria, and then Dame Judy tells us that there are copies of these books in the libraries of the Middle East being watched over by Arab and Jewish scholars, like this fellow here. 

Capturing him has always been a goal of mine—he's sitting there in the shadows and surrounded by so many fine details. This image is the closest I've ever come to capturing the heart of the scene.
