This morning we're back on Kilimanjaro Safaris, but with slightly smaller, tamer subjects. This Nigerian dwarf goat habitat at the edge of the reserve is one of the newest additions to the attraction. It was added in late 2020 and is based on similar outposts that Imagineers saw during their time researching in Africa. The goats provide high protein milk for their villages, allowing the villages to rely more on the goats and less on surrounding wildlife, which in turn protects the surrounding environments. Everybody wins.
I took this on Safari, of course. Was using my 100-400mm and zoomed out to around 150mm. Settings were attempting to compensate for the bumpy vehicle and moving goats—1/500 seconds, f/8, ISO 1600.
