Continuing our holiday theme this week, I was looking through some old photographs last night and came across this shot of the projections that they had on the Tree of Life several years ago after sunset over the holidays. It looked otherworldly. They've done so many of this sort of show but seeing the Tree of Life as a canvas, and keeping with the theme of Disney's Animal Kingdom, was wild. I have lots of shots of this show in the clear, with the whole tree in view, but there was just something about the framing of this shot through the trees that made me pick it.
I'd had friends hold their Christmas light necklaces just out of frame at the edges for the bokeh. Last night in processing, I took some liberties with the sky to make it just as dreamy as the rest of the picture.
