No surprises, I'm sure, with the subject of today's photograph.
I'm not going to use today to talk about this decision, except to say that I trust Imagineering and am sure that what's in store will be lots of fun...but that there was a certain peace that came with this area of the park, this view, the reflections on the water. It brought a certain sense of balance. It was proof that the Parks are more than the sum of their parts. They are a group of parts that are made to work together as a whole. The peace of Rivers of America balanced the frenetic energy of the rest of the Park. I'm going to miss that enormously.
I'm also going to miss the view of the fireworks over the water.
I wanted every bit of this photo to be crystal clear, so shooting with my 50mm, I dropped my aperture to f/16 and slowed my shutter to 1/125 seconds to make up for the reduced light. Even in the bright sun, ISO still bumped up slightly to 640.
