One hundred forty-five feet tall, 50 feet wide at the base, and covered in over 300 hand-carved animal figures. We've all stared up at it and taken 1,000 pictures—but this is a reminder that around here it's always worth looking up and down. There are as many details in the roots that stretch from the giant tree as in the tree itself.
Fun fact: Imagineers needed something that would provide a strong enough base to hold the tree in Florida hurricanes. So, in a brilliant act of recycling, they build it around an old repurposed oil rig.
