The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival started this week and I spent that first evening wandering the park with my camera. While I'll likely wait until I'm there during daylight hours to capture more of what the festival is best known for—the blankets of flowers and topiaries and butterflies throughout the park—I did grab this image that night and loved it as much for its symmetry and simplicity as for what it represents. Walt looking out over the park that he dreamed about, or at least some version of it, built more than 15 years after he passed.

He's looking out over the path to World Showcase, Spaceship Earth and the lights of the new GEO-82 Lounge behind him. Not putting himself at the center of it all. Just another bystander taking it all in.

Taken at 50mm, 1/50 second, f/2.2, ISO 2000.
