The bridges over the water at the Italy Pavilion are some of the best places in the park to take a deep breath—or catch the night shows. Fun fact though, the original plans for the pavilion would have seen an expansion of “Phase II” construction that included a gondola dark ride and Roman ruins walkthrough. When “Phase II” was cancelled, so were these additions. So the gondolas are also a bit of a nod to what could have been.
