I never talk about the rest of the world here, and I won't openly today either. Suffice to say that I needed a little childhood hope, optimism, and wonder this morning for a growing list of reasons and I thought perhaps you might, too.
We stopped by Magic Kingdom late one evening recently to watch the fireworks together. This anonymous little boy was on the hip of his mother entranced in front of us and I couldn't help but feel like we were watching a core memory take shape.
It felt right to share that moment today. I'd like to think he could be any of us, any of our children.
I owe this gorgeous bokeh (those orbs of light) to my beloved f/1.2 50mm lens. Shot at 50mm, 1/50 sec, f/1.2, ISO 1000.
Grateful for this way to speak to you each morning. I find myself needing the human connection and beauty as much as anyone else these days.
