Meet 8D-J8, the salvaged droid who works the rotisserie at Ronto Roasters in Galaxy’s Edge. He’s an 8D smelter droid, originally designed for heavy industrial work like ore processing and metalworking in mines and factories, built tough and suited for high-temperature environments. The perfect worker to be salvaged by the proprietor of Ronto Roasters on Batuu and repurposed to handle their rotisserie spit. Judging by his demeanor, though, he’s not particularly thrilled with his new short-order cook role.
