Let's stay in the same neighborhood this morning, but look across the water from Caribbean Beach to Riviera. It's hard to remember what this area was like before Riviera was built a handful of years ago. Like Gran Destino at Coronado Springs, it feels like an anchor at the head of a sprawling resort around the water. We were walking around Barefoot Bay, the lake at the center of Caribbean Beach Resort, close to sunrise Sunday morning and caught this gorgeous view of the sun hitting the lighthouse and Riviera across the water. We had to stop and capture it as best we could for you.
I took this photograph with the new Leica D-Lux 8, too—around a 55mm equivalent, 1/250 seconds, f/5.6, and ISO 200. I love how it stretches from the lily pads in the foreground to Riviera towering in the distance.
