I could roam the Port Orleans resorts at sunrise every morning for a month and not run out of new subject material. The Riverside Levee Marina glows like a Thomas Kinkade painting over the water at that hour.
The coolest thing about this picture is that the view is just as beautiful in every direction. If I turned to the right I'd be shooting Sassagoula. Behind me is the water wheel. To my left, the waterway itself. This morning, though, the one I chose was this marina right in front of me.
It was still dark over the water and I needed every bit of light I could get, so I shot this at 50mm, 1/60 sec, f/1.2, ISO 320.
