I often accuse myself of saying that whatever festival is currently happening at EPCOT is my favorite, but truth be told, Flower & Garden is the one. It kicked off last week and the park is in full bloom, blanketed in flowers, resplendent in topiaries, and full of food that's as delicious as it is beautifully presented. And while I sometimes feel like the monorail over some version of this backdrop is overrepresented around here, there's no way I could let this week go by without sharing some version of it. So I found a new angle and stood there, one elbow very literally in the dirt, waiting for the train to pass overhead.
This couldn't have been framed more deliberately. Shooting through a bed of geraniums in the foreground, monorail track entering from the upper left, support pillar planted firmly in the center, that iconic bed of flowers beyond the water, and the play area and Imagination Pavilion, right up to the edge of the upside-down fountain, in the distance. The white clouds scattered across an otherwise perfect sky were just the icing on the cake.
