Single-Day Series: Frozen (February 2nd)

Some days, you don't need much to tell a story. Some days, a bit of Spanish moss by the water at Port Orleans, covered in frost, is enough.

Sunday morning's low of 24ºF shattered the previous record of 28ºF set in 1936. This is what things look like here. We are bundled up and very ready for this to pass.

Taken at 50mm, 1/160 second, f/1.4, ISO 320.

It's been one year today since I started this project—all from a February self-imposed challenge to release one photograph every day for the entire month. It went so well, between helping me feel connected to you to forcing me to let go of these images each day, that I kept going. And so long as I can, I'll continue.

For those of you who have been here since the beginning, thank you from the bottom of my heart. For those of you who have joined along the way, I'm so glad you’re here now too.
