I don't get up here to the Main Street train station platform nearly often enough. When I walk under that arched entry I'm always so set on motoring forward around the bend and down Main Street. And then by the time I'm on my way out I usually need to be somewhere soon. When the kids were younger and we were newer to the area, I'd sometimes cut it impossibly close—rounding out of the Park with the final floats of Festival of Fantasy going by me at 2:45 p.m. and into the kids' elementary school parking lot 15 minutes later.
Truth told, I was torn between this and the fireworks shot on the 4th of July, last Friday, and I figured why not offer this one too a week later. Just something about this view from above puts me right there. I can hear the buzz of people and music, smell the popcorn carts just below. All of my senses jump in to fill in the blanks.
