Call me crazy, but I love a good rainstorm. I love when it's 95 degrees and you're just about melting and the afternoon storms come through Central Florida and suddenly there's a rainbow and it's 20 degrees cooler and steam is rising off the asphalt. And everything smells like earth and foliage. (And popcorn, if you're in the right spot...)
We're just creeping into that time of year here. The lakes in my neighborhood were running so low but it's been rainy these last few days and the water levels are slowly rising again. When the storms come while I'm working at home, I'll run out to the lanai with my computer and just soak in the moment.
Was doing some work with a client at French Quarter last week and it started to rain. Made for beautiful pictures, and I was able to grab some moody shots of the resort too while I was at it. I love how the colors pop against the dreary day.
