Continuing what we started last week, we're wandering across Hourglass Lake from Art of Animation to Pop Century and the buildings overlooking the Hippy Dippy Pool. I can't tell you how many random nights we've spent with this view. We used to drive down for vacations when we lived up north. And we were usually so eager to get here that we'd leave the day before, planning to stop along the way—but then end up barreling through the whole drive and arriving a night early. So I'd be on the phone with guest services toward the end of the ride, booking a last-minute room at Pop Century. I always tried to get one of the central buildings, so we'd end up here or across the way, looking out on these larger-than-life dancers.
I don't get back here nearly often enough these days. It was nice to wander the grounds for a few hours with my camera last week.
