This is one of those photographs that I share with a hope and a prayer that it connects. I love this view. The soft trees in the background and their reflection over the water. The purposefully overexposed, nearly whited-out sky. And, best of all, a perfect view of that little nook at Flame Tree Barbecue that looks out over the water. I can't tell you how many afternoons I've spent working at that corner table in the distance.
I took this one afternoon last week. The trees have a bit more variation in them this time of year. I was using my Leica, which always seems to bring out the crispness in the January air. Settings were 35mm, 1/80 second, f/4.0, ISO 200.
