I was on a Friendship Boat from Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian once and the captain tooted his horn as we passed the bungalows and asked if we knew what it meant.

When we didn't, he clued us in with such merriment. "It means those people paid too much for their rooms." With a chuckle. I don't have to tell you, but in case I have to tell you, there was no ill-will. Just a lighthearted joke about what we all know. For their cost, the bungalows are pretty darn exposed to passing traffic on the water.

That said, they're also so nice, from the front step to the living space to the back porch and plunge pool—I think I'd deal with some passing water traffic to experience one. They're also quite beautiful and lean in hard to the Polynesian's theme. Like the Skyliner, they're one of the many additions that Disney has made to property recently that served a practical purpose but also brought more story and theming to the space.

I didn't take this picture that night, but one evening earlier this summer as the sun was setting over Seven Seas Lagoon. We were on a boat to Polynesian and I looked up and saw this. Captured at 35mm, f/4, 1/800 seconds, ISO 100.
