We’ve been indulging in a lot of the crowd-pleasing, big icons lately but this right here is the stuff I love. This is the stuff that made me want to start a fine art photography site dedicated to the details of Walt Disney World. The bits of beauty tucked away almost out of sight, because every detail at every turn here speaks.

If you blink you’ll miss her and that makes it that much more impressive that she’s there at all—on the Maharaja Jungle Trek, as you enter the birding area.

I was using my 100-400mm because—DAK and birds, of course(!)—but zoomed out to 135mm or so for her. My aperture only goes so far on this lens but I opened it to f/6.3 to soften the background as much as I could. To compensate I dropped my shutter speed to 1/400 sec. I wanted to highlight the dappled light in the background without blowing out the whole picture. ISO landed at 400.

I think she's quite lovely and is really the epitome of hanging something on your wall that you wouldn't know is from Walt Disney World unless you really know this place.
