Sometime during the pandemic, they started to paint the castle in earnest in preparation for the 50th. With all of the disruptions during that time, it seemed to sit in limbo for months before its big pink reveal. And while I know we can't go back, and the grey does seem a little quiet compared with the current color palette, there was something beautiful about the simplicity of the original grey.
