I talked yesterday about visiting EPCOT over the long weekend, and how the crowds drove me away from the periphery of World Showcase Lagoon and deeper into the quieter parts of the pavilions. Yesterday we were in Italy. Today we're a little further down, in Morocco. Easily one of, if not the, most stunning of the countries represented in World Showcase, the Moroccan Pavilion was unique in that the then king sent Moroccan artisans and craftsmen to Florida to help design, create, and install the intricate mosaics, tilework, and architectural details of the pavilion, resulting in a space that feels both incredibly deliberate and especially unique and beautiful. And while that partnership has since come to an end, with Disney operating the pavilion from day-to-day now, the beauty of its original design remains, especially in these quieter nooks, unchanged. This area, with flowers pouring over the rooftop and the sun streaming in from above, feels a million miles away from any theme park.

Taken at 35mm, 1/320 second, f/4.0, ISO 50. Edits were gentle, just guiding the image closer to what my eyes saw in this moment. It's one of my favorite shots I've taken in a while and, like yesterday's shot of Italy, feels like exactly what Thousand Circles is meant to be and do.
