In 2021, Disney reimagined parts of Jungle Cruise at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. Disneyland’s updated version reopened on July 16, 2021 with this version of the rhino scene. The stranded group are now Jungle Cruise explorers from the nearby, wrecked Kwango Kate, from bottom to top: skipper Felix Pechman XIII, botanist Dr. Leonard Moss, artist Rosa Soto Domínguez, S.E.A. member Dr. Kon Chunosuke, and Irish bird enthusiast Siobhan “Puffin” Murphy. Siobhan is so focused on the nest above her that she’s unfazed by the rhino. In fact, as the expanded story goes, it might have been her love of exotic birds that got the group in trouble in the first place.
